Wet Weather approved trails

There are many trails on the North Shore just as there are many riders. One of our enemies is water. In the middle of winter the trails get saturated and they will remain ‘wet’ until we have prolonged good weather to dry them out. Usually saturation recedes by July. Trails that are more sensitive when they are saturated can still be ridden until we enter the heavy rains of November. It is nice to refrain from ride=ing sensitive trails when they are saturated so they retain their character and don’t have to be ‘winterized’ and made the same as all the rest.

Fortunately for us there are still plenty of trails to ride when the area is saturated.

Below are links to two articles explaining in more detail the reasons you should consider not riding saturated trails.
